The winners of the process are fixed, the licenses were awarded in Austria, but reason to be happy, the not so obvious really. This was predictable for many even before the award.

The licenses for the little gambling in Austria were in Casinos & Entertainment AG (a subsidiary of Novomatic), PA Entertainment & automata AG and Excellent Entertainment AG awarded. The licenses for the installation of amusement machines affect both individual lists as well as the greater team.

Losers in the whole thing in Austria in any case, the Casinos Austria, since they could get both in Upper Austria, no license and now not among the selected companies. After the decision was made, to whom the licenses are awarded, were immediately filed complaints. The provincial government says, however, that the symptoms are not influence the decision, and they are therefore passed on to the next higher court.

The complaints came mainly from two companies of the Amatic Entertainment AG and Mercury Entertainment AG. Whereas the appeal of Mercury it is already at the tender process, which was said to be against the law, according to Mercury. These various experts had criticized in cases on the forehand and criticized.

The other complaint was related to the issuance of licenses to two companies that are very closely linked. This criticism relates to Novomatic and its associated subsidiaries Admiral Casinos & Entertainment AG. The other complaints were not published because the critics want to remain anonymous.

The complaints were filed with security with the intention that the licensing is now in retrospect again reconsidered and then possibly even changed. However, the provincial government has already stated that the decision is fixed and no change was planned by his side. The examination of the candidates had been made very intense and there is no reason to withdraw the decision or change.

The companies have now received the license, from now on a year to put their plan into action and set up their slot machines. However, it must now be decided only once by the Independent Administrative Senate (UVS), as it now is to continue with the current situation. This decision must be made within six months.

If the EIS would speak out against the decision of the National Council, the tender would be held again and the whole process would have to start over from scratch.
